(ABOUT PROJECT)

arkin is an end-to-end treasury management and payments platform built for crypto and fiat-native businesses in Southeast Asia. At its core: corporate card issuance that actually works when funds originate on the blockchain - something the incumbents quietly can't offer. We were brought in to build the brand and the website from the ground up, ahead of their initial launch.

The challenge

The existing website was a placeholder, built fast to get something out the door, and the client was the first to say so. The real challenge wasn't the website itself. It was the positioning problem underneath it: Arkin operates at the intersection of two worlds - crypto and traditional finance - and the visual language of both was working against them. Crypto-native design tends toward dark, neon, and abstract. Corporate finance design tends toward stiff and generic. Neither served a company whose entire proposition is that it bridges the gap between the two.

The brief was to build something that earns trust from a CFO or founder the moment they land on the page without looking like every other Web3 product they've already scrolled past.

  • Brand identity: logo design, typography, color scheme, brand device
  • Website design

Branding

Arkin needed a brand that could live in two rooms at once: sophisticated enough for the fiat finance world, modern enough for crypto-native companies. Neither dark and neon nor stiff and corporate - something that sits confidently in its own lane.

We explored visual directions that leaned into the idea of a pioneer: a company that isn't choosing a side between traditional and decentralized finance, but occupying the space between them. The color palette moves away from the predictable extremes toward something that reads as refined and credible on first glance, with enough freshness to feel genuinely different.

The logo is built around the lowercase 'arkin' - simple, clean, and designed to work across every surface it needs to live on, from a physical corporate card to a mobile app icon.
Trust was the north star for every brand decision. Because Arkin is pre-scale with key partnerships rather than user volume as the primary proof point, the brand had to carry the weight of credibility that numbers alone couldn't yet provide.

Web design

The website had two jobs running in parallel. For the immediate pre-launch period: drive signups to the waitlist and communicate enough about the platform that a sophisticated reader walks away convinced this is real and worth watching. For the longer term: generate leads and make the value proposition immediately legible to both the crypto-native CFO and the fiat-world founder who's never touched a blockchain.

The structure was built around a clear before/after journey showing what the existing workarounds look like (personal cards, manual reconciliation, fragmented tools) versus what Arkin replaces them with. The underlying infrastructure that makes it possible is surfaced just enough to answer the first question sophisticated visitors always ask: how are you able to do this when no one else can?

Visually, the site balances abstract brand expression with real product context, designed to absorb actual product screens naturally as the platform matures, grounding the brand's visual energy in something demonstrably functional.
