The challenge

The chanllenge for the branding was straightforward: present the name, purpose of the podcast in an modern and attractive manner. We had enough space and freedom to experiement with the logo, color scheme, typo and brand device.

Branding

Our designed team started exploring the idea of an old microphone. They took its shape, combined it with the 'G' from the brand name, and added an upward arrow, which represents direction and complements the shape of the letter 'G' very well.

We want it to remain clearly visible and recognizable even in smaller sizes (such as thumbnails, social media posts, etc.). We also considered that many podcasts use some format or shape of an old microphone. Therefore, we wanted to suggest something clear, minimal, and more original that still represents the story behind it.

Decision to go with the broad color scheme came from the need to stand out in the list of other podcasts in the users' apps. Therefor, we've decided to go with professional yet vibrant palette.

Marketing collaterals: print and digital

Arrow pointing up from the logo mark served as a perfect brand device. Combined with the color scheme it gives the flexibility to make patterns that look dynamic for various purposes: covers for social media profiles, various different social media post formats, digital ads, as well as print collaterals like notbooks and pens.
